Road Engineer, Latvia

We are looking for a new enthusiastic colleague to join our growing team in the position of a Road Engineer.

Job summary

The primary responsibilities of Road Engineer will be to serve in technical role including planning, analysis, design and detailing of roads and related infrastructure projects through whole project including construction phase.

We will entrust you to

• Leading complex structural analysis and design review for all structural aspects of road projects and related infrastructure and similar railway structures (embankment, bridges and other structures).
• Developing tasks and objectives, ensure that all tasks are delivered on-time, in quality, within scope and budget.
• Assisting Technical Project Managers on assigned daily technical tasks and participate in meetings.
• Substituting other team members during the absence if needed.

To succeed, you should have

• 5+ years’ experience of road engineering design and design supervision.
• Master’s or bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering, with Road Engineering specialisation.
• Knowledge and practical experience of working with construction contracts and understanding the general terms and conditions.
• Fluent in English and Latvian, and a good command of technical English.
• Experience in working with local standards and international standards such as Eurocodes.
• Basic knowledge in hydrological and utility design and construction supervision.
• Willingness to work in a team environment.
• Resilient to coping with conflicting demands, able to prioritize duties and work under pressure.
• High ethical standards, honesty and impeccable reputation.
• Able to benchmark and apply best practices of large infrastructure projects.
• Strive for continuous improvement and precision in every detail.
