We are looking for a new enthusiastic colleague to join our growing team in a position of Geotechnical Engineer.

Job summary

RB RAIL AS is seeking for a qualified Geotechnical Engineer to serve in a technical role including the planning, analysis, design, and detailing of geotechnically challenging locations along the Rail Baltica railway corridor. Geotechnical Engineer shall ensure that Rail Baltica project implements the most reasonable and cost-effective technical solutions from lifecycle perspective.

We will entrust you to

• Geotechnical analysis and design review for all aspects related with Rail Baltica railway project - embankments, stabilized earthworks, structures, retaining walls, etc.
• Develop and review specifications associated with geotechnical engineering, cost estimates, oversee geometric layouts, check the design calculations, oversee the quality of deliverables, and develop scopes of work and engineering fee estimates.
• Develop a state-of-the-art railway monitoring system for embankments in geotechnically difficult locations and evaluate proposed structures from maintenance and lifecycle cost perspective.
• Supervise construction processes in geotechnically challenging sections and provide recommendations.
• Prepare a list of supporting studies and budget, prepare technical specifications for public procurements and manage contract implementation.

To succeed, you should have

• 3+ years’ experience as a Geotechnical Engineer (designing, stability and settlement calculations) according to Eurocode 7 or 3+ years’ experience as a Civil Engineer (Construction or Supervision) in Geotechnically difficult projects.
• Proficient in the MS Office Suite with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project.
• Solid verbal and written presentation skills.
• Outstanding organizational abilities and technical mindset.
• Fluent in English and good command of technical terms.
