Job summary
RB RAIL AS is seeking a qualified Geodesy Specialist to support the coordination and implementation of the Rail Baltica geodetic network. The specialist will ensure the quality control of geodetic measurement data and address geodetic tasks throughout the design and construction stages of the project. Key responsibilities include consulting on geodetic network development, solving daily geodetic issues, and maintaining measurement accuracy.

We will entrust you to
• Consult and support the coordination and implementation of the Rail Baltica geodetic network:
- Participate in developing and aligning a unified RB geodetic reference system (Datum), including Map projection system and Geoid model for RB high-speed railway corridor;
- Consult and support the project team in negotiations with service providers and contractors;
- Verify the suitability of geodetic solutions and necessary calculations;
- Assess and ensure quality control of geodetic measurement data;
- Resolve common geodetic tasks encountered during design and construction phase.
• Consult and support the Rail Baltica project team in the development of technical specifications and plans in the field of geodesy.
• Do fieldwork with the use of different survey equipment and methodologies, for quality check purposes.
To succeed, you should have
• At least a bachelor's degree (having a M.S. is an advantage) in Geodesy field.
• At least 5 years of experience in geodetic works, including practical experience (worked with measurements in field, coordinated transformations, construction surveyor works).
• Knowledge of geodetic equipments (Total Stations, GNSS and leveling devices, laser scanners and UAV-s).
• Availability of a geodetic engineer's certificate valid in Latvia to perform control measurements on site.
• Good technical English language skills.
